About the Project

Alarmed by the rise in food insecurity during the 2020 pandemic, Malaysians have to rethink about the world’s dumbest issue: FOOD WASTE. Hence, to provide alternative solutions to help reducing ‘Foodprint’, the proposed Vocational College in Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur intends to implement food waste management system as a start to engage its youths and underprivileged communities. Collective effort between the college, the local authorities and communities is important to help building this college that not only gives back to the people, but also a place that could turn trash into treasures by upcycling food waste. After all, a key issue is not the amount of leftovers, but those who don't know what to do with them or cannot be bothered.
