Design Improvement on Acoustic Responses of an Automotive Air Intake System

The project is to analyze the acoustic level of an Air Intake System (AIS). Harmonics Acoustics in ANSYS was used to identify the areas that have high noise resonance. The sound pressure levels and the resonance were identified. Design modifications were made on AIS to improve its performance.

Design and Development of an acoustic panel made of Natural Fiber Reinforced Composites

Reinventing Aerosol Containment Unit for Use in Medical Operating Theatre

The project analyses the effectiveness of the aerosol intubation box that is available in the market in aspects of containing aerosol spread and suggest design improvements to increase its overall effectiveness. The analyses are computational fluid dynamics and three-dimensional modelling software. The software used are ANSYS R2 and SOLIDWORKS.

Study on failure analysis of crankshaft using Finite Element Analysis

The present project is focused on constructing a 90° L-twin cylinder crankshaft model and conducting the failure analysis of specific crankshaft using finite element analysis (FEA) software. The stress distribution, fatigue behavior and fatigue life of the crankshaft will be analyzed.
